A collaboration between the daughter of a home builder and son of a home builder, Stash recently worked with Austin-based artist Paul Meyer who also grew up around construction and gained a love and respect for the process early on.

Struck by the raw beauty he saw in everyday building supplies, Meyer began incorporating cement, mortar, resin, stain and wood into his paintings. His love of construction materials, stark, open terrains and the hardworking and humble characters embedded in the human experience, inspire Meyer’s portfolio of highly textured landscapes, portraits, abstracts and non-objective paintings.

Timeless and unexpected, Paul Meyer’s artwork blends the new with the familiar, seeking to create a sense of home and to instill in us a longing to expand our personal geography by finding the inherent beauty and potential inside of the ordinary, the simple and the most unassuming parts of the world and one another.

We instantly knew that there was a real sense of simpatico between Paul and Stash. In that shared spirit we have been working on a one-time collaboration with him to explore that "beauty and potential inside the ordinary."

We've taken our most basic Utility Tote and incorporated raw elements and materials from his very studio floor - canvas textured with color, mortar and resin; transforming this simple, quotidian Tote into one-of-a-kind works of art.

These limited edition Totes are truly a collaboration not merely of materials but of vision and energy with a shared spirit to create something beautifully useful. Simple and timeless.
