First Fall

Posted on September 04, 2012

So just before the episode of 104 degree strep that knocked me out for the greater part of August, I had a lot of work on the cutting table. Some pieces of custom work and first fall designs that I've been brewing over for a very long time.

Today is my first official day back and I am so grateful to be well again. Here is a sneak peek at one of the pieces that I've been working on for some time. This is a custom piece for a very good customer from Austin but you might be able to see it in person if you come by Native Citizen this Thursday for FNO

My sample is made from a very rare and uniquely patched German herringbone flour sack. Lined with mattress ticking (a la factory) with a single interior pocket and a basic leather strap closure. Thanks to Dallas for realizing the gunslinger shoulder strap. My new favorite. Look for more styles like these this fall at Urban Market, October 27-28.
